    I will be purchasing a $1 mixed drink for the first 25 in attendance who are at least 21 and ask for it.

    Saturday Night Fever
    We're about to head to the Mobile Skatepark Series event at Sawyer Point. It looks like we'll be catching the end of the Inline Skating Street Finals. Should be good stuff, hopefully we can find somewhere to park.

    After that we are going to have dinner at the Melting Pot. I haven't been there in years but I remember that it was a great place to eat. They serve Fondue-style food directly on your table, so you get to watch and eat as it cooks. Hopefully we can find some sort of dessert without fruit for Erin (the girl won't eat fruit!)

    Not really sure what I'll be doing after dinner, but I'm sure it will be fun. I intend to make the best of my first weekend off in 6 weeks.

    so we tried to go camping
    After Erin got out of class Friday we made our way to Oxford. Instead of going directly to the Campground as we should have, we decided to stop at DiPaolo's for some Fine Italian Cuisine. We both had the lasagna (which by the way is phenomenal.) Erin was a little upset because I didn't warn her we'd be going to a nice place. Regardless, she was easily the best looking woman in the place and I had no complaints.

    After dinner we stopped at "Johnny's carry-out" to pick up some drinks and smokes for the evening. We then proceeded to our destination: Hueston Woods State Park and Natural Reserve. As soon as we got to the Camping area we were bombarded with questions from various people. "Do have reservations?" "Are you with THE GROUP?" We explained that we just wanted to camp and were laughed at in response. "There aren't any spots left," the redneck explained. "Well, there are two, but you have to find them," he went on. So we drove into the camping area and tried to find one of the two spots, unsuccessfully. There were so many people camping. I guess memorial day really is the biggest camping weekend of the year. We went back to the front only to be informed that there actually weren't any spots left. So much for camping.

    At that point we were unsure of what to do. Big plans to go camping, and nowhere to camp. We went back into Oxford and found a good place to get high so we could re-evaluate the situation. An older guy whose daughter I used to teach at daycare came by and bought some pot where we were chilling. It is always fun to blaze with people over the age of 40. We finally decided to just get a hotel room and make the best of it. Upon getting to the hotel room I promptly passed the fuck out.

    It has been an interesting 2 months
    I haven't updated in over 2 months. Wow, where do I start.

    I'm not even going to get into Plan B and all that went down that day. From that whole experience I did learn a few things though. 1) The justice system is based almost entirely on economic discrimination. 2) Redneck cops can do whatever they want when they only have to answer to redneck judges. 3) Promoting events is probably not the most effective way to promote music at this point.

    Somehow, despite my ignorance and arrogance, I'm still lucky enough to have Erin Lindsey in my life. I would be lost without her, and I'm extremely glad I get to be with her every day.

    I started school again at Miami University. It looks like I have about a year left. Right now I'm taking "The History of Electronic Media." So far it has mostly covered the early history of radio and the technological developments that made it possible. I'm enjoying the class. First exam is tomorrow, will update. In a few weeks I am starting a class called "Flash, Interactive Design." I am especially looking forward to that one. I've been meaning to learn Macromedia Flash for quite some time.

    I finally quit working @ the Macaroni Grill. I was sick of going to work, doing my job, and being treated like an asshole for it. I started last week at Bahama Breeze. So far it seems to be a better job in every way imaginable. I have a few more hours of training and a few more tests to take before I'll be on the floor. Looks like I'll finish that sometime this weekend. If anyone needs a job serving or hosting hit me up @ josh@focalpoint.to

    This weekend:
    Not going to DEMF. Not going to Planet of the Drums. Considering the Mobile Skatepark Series in Cincy. Hopefully we can go camping Friday since I got part of the weekend off for the first time in months.

    The Return
    Erin and her Cousin Dan picked me up from work last night to go to The Return in Dayton. Got to this party at around 11:15 to find only about 50 people there. By the we left around 2:00 there were maybe 150 at the most. Pretty much a disappointing turnout for a party with good talent (Charles Feelgood, Dioptrics, etc.)

    Sound = Thundersound=good.
    Lights= Vast=good.
    Venue=Church banquet room=pretty good.
    Talent=good.
    Turnout=good.
    Assholes watching the door and being shitty about it=bad.
    Feelgood going on like an hour late without an explanation=made me miss part of his set.

    Overall I had a pretty good time, can't really complain for $15.

    Today
    Should be an interesting day. I'll be leaving for work shortly, hopefully i can get out of there by 10 tonight to make it to topcats. Kate and Mikey's hip-hop show is tonight, should be a great time.

    Tomorrow Charles Feelgood and Ariel are playing in Dayton. Unfortunately, not too many people seem to be going. I believe i will check it out however, haven't seen Mark in a long time.
    1:36 pm
    Toledo, Kentucky and more.
    Had a pretty good time in Toledo Wednesday. Joe dropped some sick IDM that the crowd was not really ready for. Ended up going to Derek's house and drinking heavily well into the next morning.

    The drive back pretty much sucked. Tired and hungover trying to drive through a surprise snowstorm is not fun.

    Got back to Cincy around 4 yesterday and took a much needed nap.

    Went to La Tradicion last night in Covington.

    Great tag set from Vinny, Randy, and Pat Blaze. Very funny pornography on the bigscreen above the stage. We're probably going to do a thursday night with tim and mattieoh at that venue sometime in june.

    wow, it's been a while
    I guess it has been a few weeks since I updated.

    We got us another Nelson (Chris Nelson, DJ Nelson) Picked him up from Tipp City. He makes a pretty good guard dog but he eats way too many peanut butter cups.

    Went to the Cheesecake Factory yesterday with Erin. That is some good food. We had popcorn shrimp, a philly cheesesteak, a "tons of fun burger" and an oreo mudslide cheesecake. Gotta go back to that place soon.

    Last night Ryan Mack came over and threw down some House records with Nelson. Good times indeed.

    Going to Toledo tomorrow cause Joe is playing at a club called the Red Martini. This time I will figure out what is in the Red Martini.

    Monday night
    Had a great time at Erin's last night. They cooked Chili and toast and it was fabulous.

    Went to Oxford today and picked up some more essentials: big tv, tv stand, desk, 2 office chairs, incense, posters, original artwork from friends, and some food. Got home and set everything up. The place is starting to fill in.

    It was a busy weekend at work. It is good to have a few days off.

    Didn't end up going to Pearl Thursday night.

    Erin's parents are going out of town tomorrow for two weeks. Unfortunately Erin's mother is having surgery. I hope everything goes well for Barb.

    Just got Back from "Tom Sawyer's House Party #8." It was a pretty good time. I got to see a few people I didn't expect such as: Chris W, Lee, Space, Danny and Jackie, Erin Murphy, Guy Kelley, Little Matty and a few others. I kind of wanted to stay and party but I kind of didn't want to. Some jackass in the kitchen was trying to get me to pay $5 to drink from a keg; fuck that.

    I work all day again tomorrow. Might go to lava to see Mikee play.

    Finalllly got power and internet back today. Had some issues with Cinergy.

    Worked until about 9 last night and went to Alex's house and watched DVDs with Erin, Joe, Sara, and Alex. Got some good Mexican food at the Cactus Pear. Went back to the place and sat in the dark and stared at candles for a while.

    Going to work soon. Going to Pearl Tonight.

    Marriage is Love

    Marriage is love.

    People should be able to marry whoever they want. Keep the government out of your bedroom.

    Here is an article taken from www.cnn.com

    COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio Gov. Bob Taft approved one of the country's most-far reaching gay-marriage bans on Friday, saying its adoption was urgent because the nation's first legally sanctioned same-sex weddings could take place as early as this spring in Massachusetts.

    The bill, which Taft signed in private, also prohibits state employees from getting marital benefits for their unmarried partners, whether homosexual or heterosexual.

    Approving the bill to make gay marriages "against the strong public policy of the state" became more pressing after the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled 4-3 this week that denial of marriage to same-sex couples as unconstitutional, Taft said. (The Massachusetts ruling)

    "It is necessary for us to act now to safeguard Ohio's marriage laws," Taft said. "Ohio could have same-sex couples who were 'married' in Massachusetts taking legal action in Ohio to recognize that marriage and to obtain the resulting benefits."

    When the law takes effect in 90 days, Ohio will become the 38th state to adopt a "defense of marriage act" and the second to deny benefits to some employees' partners.

    Taft, a Republican, denied assertions that the law promotes intolerance. He said the new law would send a strong positive message to children and families.

    "Marriage is an essential building block of our society, an institution we must reaffirm," he said.

    I finally got a livejournal
    Yep. I finally signed up for this crazy site.

    I'm not sure how often I'll update it but I'm sure I'll add things every few days.

    Today:

    Woke up and took Erin to the dorm so she could get ready for class. Got online and worked on some things on the website for a while. Currently surfing the web. In a few hours Joe and I are going to Oxford to see a few people.

    Tonight: Maybe going to Elbo's, maybe chillin in Clifton.
